Wanda Jackson - PE/Coach
Ms. Wanda Jackson
Biography: My name is Wanda Jackson. I’m in the beginning of my thirty-first year of teaching and coaching. I have coached 5 years at the high school level before moving back home. I have worked for Waco ISD for 25 years, serving at four of the middle schools over the past years. I grew up in Woodway and attended Midway High School. Then I worked my way through college and received my Bachelors in Business and Physical Education at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. And added a Health certification while teaching at Cesar Chavez. I enjoy the outdoors and nature, as well as spending my time with family, friends and my fur babies. I have two dogs, Mia and Bella and two cats, Chloe, and Kat. Outside of sports and coaching, I enjoy boating, fishing, camping, hiking, and playing games (mostly card games and newest ones are “42” dominos and You Never Know).
My Why: Participating in athletics was life changing for me. I want to promote a healthy and active lifestyle by giving my students the same opportunities and experiences to gain leadership and life skills in a fun and safe environment to become successful and productive citizens.
